Elfen Leid, an aime that bleeds the dire essence of death with every episode, scene, and character. This anime is different from all of the other series I have ever watched. It possesses a strange beauty of death and everything around it. One thing however is very odd about this anime. In every episode someone dies, yet they lace the scenes with beautiful ones. The drawing of this series is stunning, right down to the falling of cherry blossom petals.

In a world of only humans a new breed is coming about. A lone girl named Lucy sets out to change the world for her own sake. Lucy you see, is a Diclonius. A twisted human mutated into a creature with horns. Each Diclonius has a sixth sense, or 4 extra hands. These hands vibrate so fast that they are invisible to the naked eye. These hands have the ability to slice right through a human, making the Diclonius an efficient killing machine. They breed by spreading their virus by the touch of the hands and anyone near them is in danger.

When we first meet Lucy we see a killer. She fights her way with bloody force and lets no one stand in her way. There's a reason why however, you have to watch the full series. After much bloodshed she is gunned downed at the edge of the ocean. She falls in and that's the end for Lucy as we know it. Only a few days later a boy named Kohta finds a naked girl on the beach. All she can say is "Nyu." After much thought, he takes her home and calls her Nyu for the sake of her only words spoken.

This anime is a very very entertaining one. Every episode I wanted more. When the ending came it left the questions that always make you mad. It was one of the most beautiful animes I have ever watched and it was one of the bloodiest. So be ready for blood, boobs, and a whole bunch of pink haired....horned girls that look like cats. I almost forgot.....this anime is filled with wincest watch at your pleasing.
